| Extreme Challenges The challenges will only be one day a month, to be announced each month. Members will be emailed (or called, if needed) each time there is a new extreme challenge. Participants should look forward to a competitive fitness experience using some of natures own greatest obstacles: the lake, sand, desert, and the surrounding mountains. Prepare to get wet, muddy, hot, and exhilarated! Survivor-like team, individual, and partner competitions will be part of the regimen. Just be prepared for anything! The Next Extreme Challenge: Jagged Edge V SATURDAY, 7/24/2010, 10:00 AM Cost: The challenge is FREE, but donations will be accepted for the Boot Camper Scholarship fund. (Normal challenge cost is $25, but donation can be anything or nothing) Description: (there are 3 different courses, choose your level of difficulty) The main course will go across land, drop off a cliff into the water (cliff-jumping is optional, there is an alternate route), swim 100meters to the next island, climb up and over, jump off, swim to the next 4 islands, going up and over each one. The course will loop up to 3 times (once for the C class, twice for the B class, and 3 times for the A class) We welcome all Serious Competitors, as well as those who just want to "see if they can do it." All of you boot campers can make it through the course, it is up to you how hard you want to push. Get ready for some SERIOUS fun!!!! (And an incredible workout) Exact Directions: Take 215/Lake Mead Parkway East past the toll booth (pay $5 if you don't have a pass) to Sunset View Scenic Overlook. Turn left, and you will see the Boot Camp Las Vegas Trailer. Sunset View is past 33 Hole. We will put cones out to mark the exit, as well. YOU MUST: *Have a life-jacket. Borrow one from a friend, buy one at Wal*mart. You must have one. (We will have kayakers a the race, but your safety is up to you entirely.) * Wear something that won't drag you down in the water. Trunks for guys/Shorts+Swim top for girls. *Have dry warm clothes waiting for you. *Wear shoes in the water (you will need to run on land in between swimming), but bring extra dry shoes. *Bring water Get ready to have some fun!!! You CAN do this! BOOT CAMP TOUGH... And, lastly...trust us. If the weather is bad, we will still do the competition, but will adapt it to the elements! So come out no matter what!!! Bring water in a backpack or hydration pack for the race if you want to. ***We meet at Carrabas on Eastern and St. Rose after to eat and talk about the competition...make sure to join us there after the race! ***Debbie Corwin is also throwing a post-race pool party!!
